For Parents of Current 8th – 11th Grade Students Nothing is more important to the academic success of our high school students than the support of their family, and the selection of courses that are customized to meet their long-term goals.
Hanover Public School District will administer the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) tests for students in grades 3-8 as follows in April and May 2017: ELA 4 sections, April 4,5,6,7 Math 3 sections, April 25,26,27 Science 2 sections, May 2,3 (Grade 4) May 3,4 (Grade 8) Educational Trips will not be approved during the testing window.
Miss Rega’s class spent some time learning about different careers and community helpers. We learned new vocabulary and concepts by playing a matching game, watching a video about various careers, reading a story about community helpers, and by taking a virtual reality tour of a paper-making factory.
Fifth grade art students are learning how to mold clay to create pinch pots. After each pot is molded, the students will use stamps produced using our 3D printers to create designs in the clay.
The PA Farm show held open auditions to sing the National Anthem at the opening of each day of the Farm Show. We are pleased to announce that the HHS Treble Makers have been selected to sing on Monday, January 9, 2017.
On Saturday December 10th the Hanover HS robotics team of Noah Somers, Griffin Driscoll, and Maverick Bair participated in a 12 team robotics competition against teams from Dover, Delone Catholic, Northeastern, and Biglerville.
