Every year Hanover Public School District conducts a variety of safety and security trainings and drills. At least once per year HPSD staff meet with Hanover Borough Police to collaborate and review best practices to ensure the safety of our students and staff. This month all staff have received safety and security training during in-service time, all buildings have instituted anti-bullying initiatives as well as trained all students in grades 6-12 on the statewide Safe2Say Something program. In November, all buildings will conduct “Lockdown” drills. Every month building principals lead safety discussions in their buildings during faculty meetings. HPSD remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all students.
