It’s a new year, and Mrs. Carrick’s class is back to learning! Vocabulary is so important for students to learn and apply. We made word squares to help us learn our weekly vocabulary words. The students had to provide a definition, synonyms, antonyms, and a picture for their vocabulary word. Every student’s word square was hung on a bulletin board so that we could share our vocabulary strategy with all students at Washington! The class enjoyed creating their vocabulary word squares, and learning is always more exciting when you’re having fun!
