Hanover Senior High School recently received a GLOBE AWARD from the Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association for its exceptional World Language Program. Hanover Public School District would like to thank World Language teachers Olivia Quynn, Amy Crist, Shaina Castillo, Maxfield Palmer, and Erin Smith for completing the rigorous application process.

In honor of the national “2005 Year of Languages”, PSMLA began showcasing Exemplary PA high school foreign language Programs (PEP). All PA high schools (public, parochial, private, charter) are encouraged to SHOWCASE their exemplary programs.

To participate, high schools must submit documented evidence that they meet the rigorous criteria established by PSMLA – with signatures of the school superintendent, principal, and supervisor/department chair to attest to the accuracy of the information.

HPSD showcased its Spanish and French course selections including Advanced Placement Spanish and French as well as teachers’ professional development and membership in professional organizations. Congratulations Hanover High!
