Hanover Street Elementary was excited to host it’s first Technology Night on Wednesday, September 13th. Approximately 75 students brought their parents, siblings, and family members back to school to help showcase all of the awesome technology that Hanover Public School District has to offer.

After a brief meeting in the Gym, students and families were on their own to try to attend at least 4 of the 10 different stations. HSE families found themselves on a HPSD Website Scavenger Hunt; engineering and building with STEM Bins and Legos; practicing skills on teacher recommended websites and apps; learning about Title One programs and System 44; deciphering Chromebook Do’s and Don’ts; playing with robots, watching 3D printers, checking out the One Button Studio in our ILC (Integrated Learning Center); and experiencing Virtual Reality first-hand in the most popular, “The Future is NOW at HPSD” station.

Students who were able to meet the 4 Station Challenge were entered into a grand prize drawing for a S5-SW-1 drone.

It was a “Tech-tastic” family learning event! Thanks to all of the students and their families, the teachers and staff at HSE, administrators and board members of HPSD, and the many generous donations from Hanover business and community leaders who have brought this technology to our schools!
