This summer, Washington Elementary School is bringing creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning to life with the exciting 2026 Camp Invention®: Spark program! Open exclusively to Hanover Public School District students entering grades K–6, this unforgettable STEAM camp experience will take place June 8–12, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Washington Elementary, located at 301 Moul Avenue in Hanover.
Camp Invention®: Spark is designed to inspire curiosity and build confidence through engaging, hands-on challenges that encourage students to imagine, experiment, invent, and create. Campers will explore four brand-new immersive experiences that blend science, technology, engineering, art, and math into one action-packed week of discovery.
In Fur-ensics™, campers become junior detectives as they investigate mysteries using forensic science techniques like fingerprinting and DNA analysis alongside their own adorable robotic capybara. In Make Waves™, young innovators will experiment with physics and entrepreneurship while designing floating billboard boats that really work.
Future explorers will blast off in Space Morphers™, where campers build DIY rockets, transform planets for future habitation, and conduct exciting scientific observations in their own space labs. Meanwhile, The Infringers™ challenges students to join the Innovation Force® and solve real-world problems while learning how inventors protect their brilliant ideas.
The camp fee is $285 for students entering grades K–6. Washington Elementary is also offering Leaders-in-Training opportunities for students entering grades 7–9 for $185, providing older students with leadership experience in a fun and engaging camp environment.
