The Kiwanis Club of Hanover recently welcomed new teachers and school professionals with a banquet meeting. This event was held Thursday, December 6 at Hanover Railside Family Diner. Those attending from Hanover Public School District were (left to right) Mrs. Nicole Negley, Dr. Susan Seiple, Mrs. Heather Wagaman, Ms. Amelia Perry.

Meet Mrs. Negley: I was raised in Lancaster County and am a graduate of Ephrata Senior High School, class of 2008. I earned my Special Education and Elementary Education, K-6, certification at Millersville University in December 2012. I substitute taught in several school districts for about a year before taking time off to have two children After 3 and a half years off with my kids, I got back into substitute teaching starting with the school year of 2017-2018. I am thankful that I have been given this opportunity to run my own classroom and gain the experience I’ll need for the future.

Meet Ms. Perry: I was raised in Dillsburg, PA and I am a graduate of Northern York County High School in 2011. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Albright College in Reading, PA with a major in Sociology and Communications in 2015. I then earned my Masters of Arts in Counseling from Messiah College in 2017. After I graduated from Messiah I worked at Sylvan Heights Science Charter School in Harrisburg, PA until April of 2018. I joined the Hanover Nighthawk team in April at Hanover Street Elementary School.

Mrs. Heather Wagaman was also welcomed as the new Principal at Hanover Street Elementary. She had previously taught in the district since 2000 in Kindergarten and as an intervention specialist. Mrs. Wagaman brings a wealth of experience and great ideas to the school!

HPSD thanks the Kiwanis Club members for providing a lovely meal, great information, and a warm welcome to the community!
