With cold and flu season fast approaching, here are some tips to reduce the spread of germs and keep our school healthy: Wash your hands with soap and water frequently Keep your child home if they are ill. They can return to school when they meet the following criteria: They have been fever free without medication (Tylenol, Motrin, etc.) for 24 hours They have been free from vomiting for 24 hours They have been free from diarrhea for 24 hours Educate your child on the importance of not spreading germs to their friends and classmates:
Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow Use hand sanitizer or wash hands after coughing, sneezing, or blowing nose Wash hands with soap and water after using the bathroom Dress appropriately for the weather

Other times you should keep your child home from school and seek medical care as necessary include: Your child has an itchy rash with a fever Your child has a red/infected eye with crusty drainage Your child has an itchy head and active head lice
