HMS 7th and 8th grade students recently participated in a Book Club to discuss Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. Students are provided a copy of the book to read prior to the Book Club Meeting. Students then gather with Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Wallick to discuss the story while enjoying breakfast in the ILC! 5th and 6th graders will meet next week to discuss The Stars Beneath Our Feet by David Barclay Moore. The HMS Book Clubs are a great way to introduce students to new novels while encouraging a love for reading!
