Olivia Hissong, a rising 9th grader, won first place at the local level in the AMVETS National Americanism Essay Contest. Her essay then advanced to the state level competition where it won second place. Olivia was recognized in May at a ceremony sponsored by the AMVETS in Hanover. This is quite an accomplishment and a testament to Olivia’s strong writing skills. Congratulations!
