During the month of January, kindergarten students learned about the impact that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had on America. His dream was to have peace between all races, showing equality for all Americans. Through peaceful protests, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. helped change unfair laws making America more unified. Jackson said, “Peace means getting along like sharing the tire swing at recess.” Julieta said, “Peace is about everyone getting along and not fighting.” When people work together peacefully to solve problems, everyone benefits! Happy birthday Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.! We thank you for never giving up on your dream and teaching us that people should be judged by their character and not the color of their skin. ~Mrs. Brezniak’s and Mrs. Vanik’s Kindergarten Class ~Mrs. Brezniak’s and Mrs. Vanik’s Kindergarten Class
