Mary
M. Menges was an inspiration to many of her students. One of the extra
projects that she pursued with the publication of her students' poetry.
Eleven members of the Class of 1954 had their works published in the
anthology "Young America Sings" published by the National High School Poetry
Association.
The spiral bond anthology was printed with a mimeograph machine and the quality of the text and paper prohibited text scanning. We scanned specific pages on which the student's below were published. The first three pages of the book were scanned to verify its authenticity.
