 Comic Book Instructional Materials

During the late 40s and early 50s, many science classrooms at a Junior High level used these comic book instructional materials. These materials were produced by national companies such as Westinghouse and General Electric. The materials often were more than just supplements to text books. Science and technology after World War II changed so quickly, that often the comic book materials were much more up-to-date than hard copy materials. They were often distributed free of charge.
