Becky and her husband, Bob, live in Oakland, California where they met in 1963. They have three daughters.  She was an x-ray technologist and is retired. Bob was a Naval officer, then a consultant to the Department of the Navy. He is semi retired.  Becky’s hobbies are singing, reading, travel (more on that below), museums, and concerts. She spends time as a volunteer in various church activities.

They have traveled throughout the USA including Hawaii and Alaska and to   Canada, Europe, Australia, and the Caribbean, “with Antarctica and South America yet to go.”

Becky and Bob enjoy attending various performing arts events and concerts, with an occasional baseball game or flower show for diversity.

She is proud of, “Raising our daughters to be accomplished, dependable, and interesting adults.”

Becky’s message to her classmates is, “In 1956, after becoming registered as an x-ray tech, I worked in that field in California and then New Orleans, interspersing jobs with travels in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and the Middle and Far East. I met my husband, Bob (then a Naval Reserve officer on active duty), in California in 1963. We married in ’65 and moved to Vienna, VA, where Bob began his civilian career as a consultant to the Department of the Navy. We raised our three daughters there, and they all remain in the Greater DC Area: a math teacher at a junior college, a Life Sciences editor, and one in the Administrative Department of a county library system. After Bob’s (semi) retirement, we moved to live in his family home in Oakland. I have continued singing in various choral groups and choirs, and we travel as the urge strikes us. Currently I serve as ‘support staff’ for Bob’s work as a genealogist and translator of 18th Century German-language church records.”

Becky completed studies at the School of X-ray Technology, Baltimore City Hospitals, and Bob has a PhD in Microwave Electronics from the University of

California at Berkeley.
