Patricia (Rebert) Duncan

York New Salem, Pa.

Pat lives in York New Salem, Pa. She had three children (one is deceased), and she has four grandchildren. She works as a financial secretary. Pat does volunteer work involving hospitality at her church.

She feels the education we got at EHS was better than today’s public high schools. Her favorite teacher? “How can you pick one? We were so fortunate to have so many. Miss Stover, Miss Blettner, Steve Padgen.” Grace Geiselman got her vote for most effective teacher, “She taught me to enjoy English.”

Pat has traveled to Florida, the western USA and to Canada. In the last five years, she has attended major league baseball games, high school sports events, live performances of major entertainers, plays, and events her children hosted, and events her grandchildren were in.

She sometimes thinks about the good old days and she liked, “It was a more relaxed life style. Our schedules today are so busy and we don’t take time to smell the roses!” What does she like about the 2000’s? “Grandchildren!”

Pat is proud, “That I raised three children and God was so good to me. There were many bad times in my life, but God always took care of me and my family.”

Her message to her classmates is …

“How privileged I am to be part of this class. When people say they don’t go to reunions, I tell them they sure are missing a great time. Of course, you get out of it what you put into it. I enjoy getting together with the group that meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. I can’t always make it, but I know I will be warmly greeted and have a wonderful night. Thank you for being able to share our memories of Hanover Street School, Junior High and, of course, Eichelberger. We will always be loyal to the Gold & Blue, and the Orange & Black.”
