Eleanor (Miller) Muscarelli

Dunnellon, Florida

Ellie and her husband, Harry, live in Dunnellon, Florida. They met at Millersville University  in 1955, were married in 1958, and celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in February of 2003.

They have eight children, and fourteen grandchildren (one more scheduled to arrive in December ’03)!

Both Ellie and Harry were teachers and they are both retired. Her hobbies are reading, bowling, and crocheting. She feels the education we got at EHS was about the same as today’s public high schools. Her favorite teacher was Pearl Blettner, and Mary Menges got her vote for the most effective teacher.

They have traveled extensively throughout the US including Hawaii, and they have been to Canada, and Europe. They enjoy attending a wide range of events including major league baseball, college, and high school games; live performances of major entertainers; Broadway type musicals; plays; county fairs; local band concerts; and events their children host; and events their grandchildren are in.

Ellie almost never longs for the good old days, but she did like it when there were fewer cars on the road. She does appreciate our modern conveniences such as cell phones and computers.

She is proud of and thankful for … “Raised eight great kids who gave us fourteen grandchildren so far.”

Her message to her classmates is … “I’m looking forward to seeing all of you after 25 years at the 2004 reunion.”

Both Ellie and Harry have teaching degrees from Millersville State University.
