Lois (King) Smith

Hanover, Pa.

Lois and her husband, Gerald, live in Hanover. They have a daughter and a son and three grandchildren. They met at a friend’s house in Dover and were married in 1960. Lois worked for Utz, and Gerald worked for York Continental Wire and later Ambroios black topping. They are both retired.

Lois enjoys camping, playing games and travel. She does volunteer work for Penn Grove Retreat which is a campground their church bought in 1999. She thinks about the 50’s quite often when, “The traffic situation was a lot better, and it was safer to take walks and travel.” In the 2000’s, “I became a Christian and received the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.”

She is proudest of … “Being a mother and homemaker.”

Lois’ message to her classmates is, “Look to the Lord who made everything and He can solve all your problems.”
