Dean E. Kehr

Dean passed away June 18, 2001 in Hanover. He was 66.

He was married to the former Merriel “Jean” Laughman. They had two daughters, Denise Naylor and Sally McIntire, both of Hanover; a son, Marvin Kehr, of York; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren!

He worked for Cole Steel in York for 25 years, and then GDC Keystone (formerly Keystone Wire Cloth) for 10 years until he retired. He also owned and maintained  several rental properties.

His wife Jean said …

“Dean really enjoyed attending the EHS Class Reunion that we attended.”

“He bought quite a few houses, then fixed them up and rented them out. He worked for over 20 years at Cole Steel in York, and when that closed down, he came to Keystone Wire Cloth  for about 10 years.”

“Dean always liked motorcycles (Harleys), and owned one most of our married life. We took some small trips on the motorcycle. For quite a few years, we had a boat, and we liked to go to Bush River in Maryland to water ski. We’d also go to Ocean City, Maryland to fish, dig clams, and have fun.”

“He really enjoyed NASCAR and we went to quite a few races. Dale Earnhardt was his favorite.”
