Donald A. Fuhrman

Hanover, Pa.

Don and his wife, Sandy (Class of ’55), live in Hanover. They have a son, a daughter, and four grandchildren. Don was an electrician, Sandy was a sales clerk, and they are both retired.

Don’s hobbies are golf, walking, computers and reading.

He quite often thinks about the good old days when people were more easy going and things didn’t cost so much. The things he likes about the 2000’s are, “I’m retired  … enjoying life … and having fun with my grandchildren!”

What is Don proudest of? “My wife, our children and grandchildren, and retirement.”

His message to his classmates is …

“After EHS, I joined the Navy and went to boot camp with our classmate, Phil Whisler. In 1959, Sandy and I got married. Our daughter, Wendy, works at the Hanover Hospital as an LPN, and she also underwent treatment for breast cancer. Our son, Doug, is a CPA at L.I.U., and we often play golf together. I keep busy during football season running the chains for Southwestern Football which I’ve been doing since 1967, and I played softball for 22 years. Now, I really enjoy my three grandsons and granddaughter.”

Don served in the Navy from 1955-1957.
