Anna May (Frock) Laynor

Yarmouth Port, Mass.

Ann and her husband, John, have retired to Cape Cod.

Her occupation was an information systems consultant. She was involved in performing case studies for various clients and writing articles for publications such as Time Magazine.

Ann said, “My English education at EHS has benefited me through many twists and turns over the years. In addition, EHS introduced me to music, art, and drama. These interests grew over the years, and as a result, John and I enjoy attending concerts, museums, and the theatre.”

Since retiring, Ann has become a very active volunteer.

“For seven years, I was a member of the Board of Trustees of a 74-unit condominium complex. Because the townhouse condos were self-managed, I was responsible for day-to-day operations regarding contracts, contractors, and homeowners. A challenging task, indeed, especially when a homeowner phones you at midnight about snow removal!”

“Currently my major volunteer work involves training and working with over 40 volunteers at a Cancer Consignment Shop. The proceeds from this shop benefit the Radiation Department at Cape Cod Hospital. I am proud to be part of this activity!”

Ann has a BA degree from Allegheny College, Meadville, Pa. John has a BSEE from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, and two graduate degrees from M.I.T. in Cambridge, Mass.
