Joseph J. Edwards

Hanover, Pa.

Joe and his wife, Sonja, live in Hanover. They were high school sweethearts at EHS.

They have six children, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren!

Joe was a Regional Forester for GPU Met-Ed and he’s retired. Sonja is a homemaker. Joe’s hobby is carp fishing.

He feels we got a better education at EHS than today’s public high schools provide. His favorite teacher was Jim Leedy, and Mary Menges got his vote for most effective teacher.

Joe and Sonja have traveled throughout the continental USA and to Canada. They enjoy attending high school sports events, and events their children host, and events their grandchildren are in.

He sometimes thinks about the good old days when … “Life was much easier.”

Joe has an Associate Degree in Forestry from the University of Massachusetts.
