Patsy (Cool) Bair

Hanover, Pa.

Patsy is presently living in Hanover as she has done for the last 60 years. She met her late husband, John, at EHS in 1952. They were married for 48 years. She has two children and six grandchildren. One of her grandchildren graduated from Lebanon Valley College and is now in Law School. Her other five grandchildren are in high school. John had his own pizza business. Patsy was a salesperson and is now retired. Her hobbies are, “Spending time at my son’s business, TV, reading, and watching my grandchildren in school events.”

Patsy’s vote for the most effective teacher at EHS goes to Mrs. Diehl who was also her favorite teacher.

She has traveled to Canada and to the Caribbean, and she enjoys attending high school sports events, live performances of major entertainers, and events her grandchildren are in.

She sometimes thinks about the good old days when, “You didn’t have to be afraid to walk anywhere, and the stores were downtown, not all at the malls.” She does appreciate the modern medicine and easier communications of today.

Patsy is proud of …

“My two wonderful children and my six precious grandchildren. My daughter, Deborah, is a phlebotomist and a Dr’s Assistant and my son, Gregory, has his own business, the ‘Cannonball Olde Tyme Malt Shoppe’, in Gettysburg.”

Her message to her classmates is …

“Enjoy each day. We learned to do that when my husband developed lung cancer three years ago. I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the reunion.”
