During the 50's the Spring Fashion Show  was truly a Community Event! Many stores, as the program shows, participated in showing their spring line of clothing. It was an "honor" to be selected for the wedding party. The Gloria Shop sponsored the wedding, and if I remember correctly the participants who were selected were secretly kept until they appeared in the wedding that evening. You must realize that ALL the clothing stores in those days were located around the center square area.
