Cafeteria Information

The Hanover Public School District Food Service Program offers a nutritious lunch daily for all students. We provide a menu monthly to students and parents to give you an idea of the meals that are being offered. Menus are always subject to change.

The district does participate in the Free & Reduced Lunch and Breakfast Program. Again, families that have children attending a public school district can apply for free or reduced price school meals through the National School Lunch Program online using the Internet!  This can be done using COMPASS. COMPASS allows Pennsylvanian's to apply for social service programs, such as Food Stamps (FS), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Energy Assistance, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), etc., online.  Families can use COMPASS to apply for free or reduced price school meals only, or they can apply for other services at the same time (FS, TANF, etc.).

Since your child attends Hanover Public School District, which is a public school district, you can apply for free or reduced price school meals online by going to the COMPASS website at www.compass.state.pa.us or you can continue to use the paper application if you prefer. If you have any questions about the program, now or throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact the district for assistance. If you are approved for reduced meals, $0.40 for lunch.

The Hanover Public Food Service Program is excited to offer the National Breakfast Program at all buildings of Hanover Public School District. Breakfast will be offered at Hanover Street, Washington & Clearview from 8:05 am to 8:30 am. The High School will serve from 8 am through 8:15 am and The Middle School from 7:50 through 8:05 am beginning August 28, 2012.

Lunch pricing has increased for the current school year. Elementary lunch price is $2.20 & Middle and High School is $2.45. Milk price has remained the same at $.50.

The cost of breakfast has had no increase and will remain at $1.00. The children who receive free or reduced benefits will be granted the same benefits at breakfast. Reduced breakfast price is $.25. Milk price has remained the same at $.50.
