Pictured were retirees: Diane Laucks (17.6 years of service to Hanover Public School 
District), Walter Baldwin (11 years of service to Hanover Public School District), and 
Russell Calhoun (5.3 years of service to Hanover Public School District). Retirees not in 
attendance were: Shelia Jordan (14.4 years of service), Dave Reese (36 years of service), 
Jill Davidson (34.9 years of service), Andrew Kuhn (35 years of service), Brian Sullivan 
(5 years of service), Eileen Gass (15 years of service), Madge Staub (10 years of service).

New Cafe Point of Sale system

HPSD is changing our Point of Sale System for the start of 2014-2015 school year and leaving MYSCHOOLBUCKS and going to PRIMEROEDGE. Information will be updated as things are implemented. You will also receive a information packet on the new user friendly and very simple system that PRIMEROEDGE will bring to our District. 

Teen Poetry Contest Winner

8th grader Bridget Shea won first place in the Teen Poetry Contest sponsored by Guthrie Memorial Library - Hanover's Public Library.  Hanover High School student Amanda Laughman won third place. Bridget and Amanda received their awards from JoAnne Diodato, Hanover's Poet Laureate.  Way to go ladies!

Jazz Band


Congratulations to the middle school jazz band, and all the parent volunteers for a   successful Jazz Band festival on Saturday, April 26, 2014.  They were busy with   concessions, ticket sales, ushering, photography, guiding bands, ushering, and working backstage managing all of the stage diagrams while setting the stage for each bands performance.

The seven jazz bands, representing York county schools, which performed at the event this year included:  East York Elementary Jazz Band, York Suburban Middle School, Central York Stage and Jazz Band, Dallastown Middle School, and South Western's EHM Intermediate School.

A special thank you to all everyone to donated time and services in support of our band, and assisting our organization with this festival.

2014 HHS Oratorical Speakers Group

Seven seniors presented at the 46th Oratorical Contest sponsored by Garrick Jewelers. These students wrote, memorized, and delivered persuasive speeches on topics ranging from participation in youth sports to new NFL rules. The decision of the judges will be announced at Campus Night. Congratulations to all of the students on this commendable accomplishment.
