HMS Band & Orchestra Receives Award

HMS BO Parks Festival

Congratulations to the Hanover Middle School Band and Orchestra for their recent awards earned at the Music In The Parks Adjudication Festival. Both groups competed at the HersheyPark Festival and placed 2nd in their division.  Even more impressive was winning the "Esprit de Corps" Award, which is presented to the students from a school who demonstrate proper social behavior as well as musical behavior/encouragement.  They possess the qualities of highly successful people who are sensitive to the feelings of others and applaud accomplishments no matter if by one's own school or another school.  All students groups were being evaluated from their arrival at the festival sites until the awards ceremony.  There were 16 participating schools from Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, and Pennsylvania eligible for this award, but only one group has the honor of bringing this trophy back to their school.  Congratulations to our Hanover musicians for their outstanding musical accomplishments, and for representing our school and community.
